Yoga was something I did after a car accident left me with little mobility in my right leg. At first I did yoga with reluctance coming from a background of running. It was on the mat that I finally decided to stop running, mentally and physically. Movement continues to inspire me and I find it be one of the greatest forms of self-expression and emotional releases. I try to incorporate a strong physical practice focused on the breath, alignment, and creative movement to reveal the self and the power within. I received my teacher certification from Laughing Lotus in New York City. I continue my studies throughout the year and have completed trainings with Dharma Mittra, Ana Forrest, David Swenson, Alison West, and Rodney Yee. Lila, my daughter, serves as my greatest source of inspiration, teaching me to live with an open heart, mind and spirit.
